Company History
Mabele Fuels Pty (Ltd) is a company registered in the Republic of South Africa whose business is the manufacture of fuel-grade ethanol from grain sorghum for sale to the South African biofuels market. The global trend towards renewable energy sources, together with the sophistication of production technology and the proposed mandatory blending of bioethanol into the South African fuel stream, make the conversion of agricultural feedstock crops to ethanol a very attractive opportunity. Mabele Fuels will be facilitating the domestic production of fuel-grade ethanol, which will greatly contribute to job creation, energy security, infrastructure, agriculture and the green economy in South Africa.
The Company was founded and incorporated in 2005 and resolves to build a bio-ethanol-from-sorghum plant in Bothaville in the Free State Province, South Africa. Mabele Fuels is a private company registered and incorporated in terms of the laws of South Africa. The plant will have the capacity to produce 153 million liters of fuel-grade bio-ethanol per year and is expected to come online in 2017.
