China National Heavy Machinery Corporation
Established in 1980, China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (”CHMC”) is a Chinese state-owned company specialized in working as the main contractor for projects both in China and abroad, for import and export businesses, and issuing of invitation letters for bids for mechanical, electrical and control systems equipment.
CHMC has the right to economic and technical cooperation with foreign countries as approved by the Ministry of Economic Relations and Trade with Foreign Countries.
CHMC is a Chinese State Class A company in issuing ‘invitation to bid’ letters for equipment of construction projects; and a Chinese State Class A company for supplying complete sets of electric and mechanical equipment.
In 1998, CHMC was voted one of the 500 best companies in China for import and export business. CHMC has contracted projects in the industries of metallurgy, mining, port terminals, building materials, forging and pressing, urban water supply, environment protection, power generation, bridge construction, grain stores, alcohol, ethanol, biodiesel production, airport construction, urban construction, chemical industry, water conservancy, nuclear power, etc.
CHMC is currently contracted for the Phase II and Phase III projects of Shanghai Baoshan Iron & Steel Corporation, YuanBaoshan Open-pit Coal Mine, Guangzhou Xingsha Coal and Iron Ore Port Terminal, the USA General Motors automobile press and punch lines erected in Thailand and United Kingdom, as well as the ESSA Cement Plant in Pakistan.
CHMC is building sugar mills, coal thermal power plants, bridges, open-pit coal mines, and a hydro-power plant in Myanmar. CHMC has contracted several projects for hydropower plant, gantry crane, cement plants in Vietnam.
In the last few years CHMC Group and its subsidiary companies have executed several EPC ethanol projects, including three green-field Ethanol plants in Nigeria.
CHMC has successfully contracted over 1000 large and medium size complete plant projects in China and in over twenty countries, and has been awarded with many accolades in China and abroad.
